It depends which country you are in.

As the other user said it depends on the country and the emassbly, the average time is 7 days, but in some emassbies you can get a visa the same day if you turn up before a set time, but the time mostly depends on the cost….

I live in Canada and I got my visa to China in about 6 days. It shouldn’t take a very long time but don’t wait until the last minute to apply for a visa.

In London you can get it same day at the Chinese Embassy on Portland Place but you have to queue up early (like maybe up to an hour before it opens) so that the application isr eceived before the cut-off time. Otherwise, the usual wait when I got mine last November was 3 days.

Hi, I work as a tour consultant for China. Right now, to visit a relative, your daughter would need to provide a birth certificate and document showing how she is related to the person in China. Additionally, the person in China would have to provide a copy of the lease contract (If she was staying them) so it will be better if she just applies as a tourist.

In addition to the regularly required documents, Application, passport, 2×2 Photo, etc.. You will need to show proof of air ticket travel and hotel.

Purchase or reserve the airfare, print out the schedule, must clearly show the date of arrival and departure from China with her name on it.

Reserve a hotel – (Then immediately cancel it if she will stay with relative) but not before printing the confirmation receipt.

Hotel dates must be within the arrival and departure of the airlines.

Its a pain. But anything less than what I mentioned above will guarantee a rejection at this time.

If you dont want to do the visa yourself, have a visa company do it. we usually recommend a company like z-visa.com http://z-visa.com
