Any sample for an invitation letter to travel for a friend to China?

My fiancee is planning to visit me during summer to Guangzhou, China from Australia and the embassy asked for an invitation letter from me. I have asked the embassy here and there and they are not much of a help since usually for tourists are not supposed to be asked since it’s only for a short period of time ( 3 weeks ). Anyway, is there anyone who has any sample for invitation letters that i could follow? Thank you so much for the help.

What ID should one show when travelling/buying air tickets in the US? What if the ID is an expired driver’s licence, will that person be able to travel domestically or not? What IDs can be used?
